Dr. Paul & Carol Alexander

Paul and Carol Alexander were born and raised in South Africa. They completed their schooling in Johannesburg. It was during this time that they met and so began a lifetime of Christian service together.

After graduating from high school, Paul and Carol enrolled at the British AG Bible College known as Mattersey Hall. Soon after graduating, they married in the small English village where the College was located. Global travel followed, taking them to 22 nations in a two-year period. They pastored briefly in the UK before returning to South Africa.

The following years were filled with challenges and opportunities. Eventually they led their home church. Paul was required to serve in the military as South Africa had conscription at the time. He served as a Chaplain spending many months helping during the trauma of the Angolanbush war. Paul and Carol founded Africa School of Missions in 1985, and this institution quickly became the major catalyst for missionary mobilization in the nation.

After seven years leading a great mother church in Australia, the Alexanders were recruited to serve their Alma Mater. Paul was the President of Mattersey Hall for seven years. In 2012 Paul was invited to be the President of Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota, and two years later Carol assumed the role of Dean of the Graduate School at Trinity. The past 10+ years have seen consistent growth at Trinity, accompanied by significant campus development and the achieving of financial stability.

Paul and Carol both hold PhD degrees from the University of Bangor, Wales. They were married in 1976 and have two adult children. Anna is married to Rich and they are parents to Ava andTylan. Jason lives in Los Angeles.

The Alexanders are passionate communicators and motivators. They remain in demand nationally and internationally.

Dr. Donald Lichi

Donald A. Lichi, PhD. is a licensed psychologist and currently serves as the Vice President of Emerge Counseling Services.

Dr. Lichi is an adjunct professor with Trinity International University (IL), the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), the Asia Theological Center (Singapore), and All Nations Theological Seminary (Malawi, Africa). He has published several articles on Christian mental health, and is the co-author of the book, Broken Windows of the Soul (Moody Press). He serves on the pastoral teaching team of the Akron Chinese Christian Church and the board of Emmanuel Christian Academy, which ministers to “at risk” children in the inner city of Akron, OH.

Dr. Lichi was in private practice for over five years, taught school, and directed a school-based counseling program for six years. He taught for six years in the graduate school at the University of Akron. While in the United States Air Force, he served for three years in Italy and three years in Alaska. Recent ministry has taken him to India, Brazil, Thailand, Ecuador, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Romania, China, Malaysia, Russia, Hungary, Nicaragua, and Singapore.

Best of all, he is married to Marcie and they have three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Marcie Lichi

Marcie is a retired World Languages educator.  She holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and Spanish Pedagogy from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from The University of Akron.  She served as a Spanish teacher at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for 20 years, teaching all levels of Spanish for students in Middle through High School.  She also served as the Department Chair of World Languages for several years.  Throughout her tenure at CVCA, she chaperoned many mission and academic trips to Spanish-speaking countries including Spain, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

Early in her career, she was the director of a Child Development Center and Montessori School located at Evangel Temple in Akron, Ohio.

She currently serves as a volunteer for Faithful Servants Care Center, a free medical clinic for those who have no medical insurance.  She is able to translate for many Spanish-speaking patients.

Marcie is a lover of the outdoors and takes pleasure in gardening, as well as hiking the many trails throughout NE Ohio.   She also very much enjoys working with horses and trail riding.  She and her husband, Don love to travel and in 2018 they completed 110 miles on the Camino de Santiago in Spain.  They both dream of returning to complete the last 100 miles of this famous pilgrimage trail.

She is married to Dr. Don Lichi, celebrating 51 years of marriage in April of this year.  They have 3 adult children and 8 grandchildren they love to spend time with.

“As Don and I enter the “golden years” of our lives, we find ourselves looking back and appreciating even more God’s love for us and His faithfulness in keeping His promises from the time when we chose to follow Him as teenagers.  He continues to call us even in the present to a deeper walk with Him, transforming us through the work of the Holy Spirit into becoming more like His Son. Our desire is to honor and glorify our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and to continue to grow in grace and knowledge of Him so that we may share the good news of knowing Jesus with those who need Him.”
